TicketQR 2.1.2

TicketQR is an application that allows users to easily and cashlessly utilize public transportation systems such as trains and buses with their smartphones. As part of the "City Public Transportation Cashless Promotion Project" implemented by Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, the service was launched on the Sugadaira Highland Line operated by Ueda Bus Co., Ltd. starting from October 1, 2020. Currently, the implementation has expanded to major routes of Ueda Bus Co., Ltd., Ueda Electric Railway Co., Ltd. (Bessho Line), Chikuma Bus Co., Ltd., and Tosin Kanko Bus Co., Ltd., conducting a cashless conversion verification experiment via QR code payment in the wider Ueda city area (scheduled to end on March 31, 2022).

Starting from April 2022, the service is planned to be introduced to the sightseeing bus "Town Sneaker" operated by Alpico Kotsu Co., Ltd. in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture. Anticipation is high for the enhancement of convenience for local residents and tourists alike.

The available QR codes support post-payment methods for each transaction (various electronic payments such as PayPay, d Payment, etc., credit cards for immediate payments), as well as pre-payment methods for regular tickets, set-ride vouchers, and prepaid options. The system also accommodates student discounts and disability discounts. For users without access to the app, QR codes printed on paper media can be used.

Moreover, during the recent "Cheer-Up Ueda! Up to 20% Discount Campaign (ended on March 6, 2022)", organized by Ueda City to stimulate consumption, TicketQR was adopted as a payment tool. Approximately 60,000 individuals benefited from this campaign. The national campaign distributed a total of ¥10,000 worth of discount tickets to app registrants. This enabled customers to receive up to a 20% discount at over 840 participating stores in Ueda City on every purchase. The campaign successfully adjusted the budget and extended its duration to meet with great success.

About App User Registration: To register, users are required to input their phone number for identity verification and date of birth for fare settings. Once registered, users can start using the app immediately.

How to Use: Simply launch the app and scan the QR code you wish to use at designated terminals located at vehicle boarding and alighting points. After disembarking, please settle the fare.

Settlement of Fare:

• If using electronic payment methods: After disembarking, proceed to the payment screen on the app and utilize various electronic payment options or credit cards. Please ensure you have the necessary electronic payment apps pre-installed on your smartphone. The current e-payment support status includes brands such as PayPay, d Payment, au PAY, Merpay, LINE Pay, WeChat Pay, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
• Regular tickets, set-ride vouchers, and prepaid tickets issued by your transport provider can also be used for settlement. In such cases, clearing transactions are automatically processed without any manual intervention required.
• Note: Accepted ticket types may vary by transport provider. For more details, please inquire directly with the respective transport authority.

Additional Features:

• You can settle insufficient fares due to ride extensions or pay for multiple passengers' fares through electronic payments.
• Usage History: Access your usage history on the app including dates & times of use, routes traveled, fares paid, and payment methods used. You can also check remaining periods for regular tickets, ride counts for set-ride vouchers, as well as prepaid balances.
• Data Transfer During Device/Phone Number Changes: By issuing a transfer key beforehand, users can seamlessly carry over their current user information when changing devices or phone numbers.
